The registration tent is a crucial part of our events.
Here you will be scanning in tickets and providing attendees with wristbands and merch.
Registration also acts as a central hub with a lost and found, first aid kit, and charging station for walkie talkies.
If anyone gives you trouble, radio in for help immediately.
This is a step by step overview that goes over all the details.
Basic flow:
Payment options:
All tickets must be purchased online via credit/debit card.
Cash is not accepted, and we do not have credit card scanners on-site.
No cash sales! No credit card swiping!
Attendees must self-pay online.
You will be sitting under the Registration tent greeting new arrivals.
Attendees will walk up to this tent to receive their entry wristbands/badges.
If there's a lot of people lining up, we may need to bring out a Line Wrangler to stand at the back of the line and organize it.
Make them feel welcome! These are members of our community. Show them some love and support. Compliment their cosplay. Let them know they are home. Make new friends and show them kindness!
Every attendee must have a ticket.
You will ask to see their entry ticket, and scan it in.
Ask if they also have a merch ticket.
Tickets can be scanned from a printed page, or directly on their phones. Tickets are emailed to everyone after paying. Ask them to check their email if they can't find their ticket.
If they really can't find their ticket, you can search for them by name and double click them to redeem their ticket. Ask for some form of ID to verify their name.
If they haven't yet purchased a ticket, point to the QR code where they can purchase one. Explain that we do not accept cash, and they must pay online.
Take note of what the screen says once you scan them in. You can only scan tickets in once, and there's no going back!
Successful scans will show a green window with a message reading: VALID.
If a ticket has been scanned/redeemed already, then the next time it's scanned a yellow screen will tell you the ticket has already been redeemed. Do not give them another wristband! This ticket has already been scanned.
Previously redeemed tickets will show a yellow alert reading: ALREADY SCANNED. Only give wristbands for tickets that are freshly scanned!
If someone lost their wristband, they will need to buy another ticket. It's important for safety reasons that we are strict about this.

We highly reccomend reading the above Ticketing Details guide! It contains screenshots and step by processes.
These are separate tickets that need to be scanned once per merch pack.
The ticket type will saying something like: Merchandise Pack
Scan these tickets just like the entry tickets, and provide their merch.
Use the nice wristbands first, then dip into the boring ones if we run out.
Offer to help put the boring wristbands on, especially if they are checking in alone. The boring ones can be tricky. Ask them to stick a finger under their wrist while you put the wristband on, so it doesn't go on too tight.
Not everything always goes exactly to plan. You may come across situations that deviate from the norm. Here's how to respond.
If anyone becomes combative or hostile, radio for help. It's not your responsibility to handle these issues.
For serious threats, find a police officer or call 911.
We do not accept cash. We do not have a credit card swiper. Tickets can ONLY be purchased online with a credit/debit card. There are no exceptions.
Attendees can simply visit our ticketing website tickets.animeinthepark.com and click on Resend order link for this event to get their tickets. They will need access to their email.
Do not allow anyone to get a new wristband if they have already scanned their ticket in. Lost wristbands mean you need to buy a new ticket.
There may be a few "EZ Passes" available for unique situations as a band-aid. For example, if someone is being very polite, and has a receipt for their tickets, but you can't find their ticket, or something's not working. EZ Passes are essentially extra tickets we have laying around.
Do this only for very unique cases as a get out of jail free card. Refer to the lead or radio for help for approval before doing this.
The following roles belong to the Registration department:
They are all interchangeable roles.
Attendants are the ones sitting at the desk processing tickets. This should be the primary focus.
Line Wranglers go out into the line and talk to people, and help guide people towards the end of the line. There should be at least 2 Attendants at any given time. If the line is getting long, and there's a 3rd person available, send one person out to become a Line Wrangler.
If there's enough help, just hang out and be a Wristband and Merch Organizer. This role helps tear off the wristbands neatly, puts wristbands on people, and provides merch to those who paid for it.
Quartermasters are in charge of the lost and found. They also keep track of inventory and where to find stuff, like extra wristbands, supplies, etc.
